Only 90 days until the Arkansas General Assembly convenes for a regular session.

The 94^th General Assembly is scheduled to convene for regular session at 12:00 noon on Monday, January 9, 2023.

Here’s a look at important dates for the upcoming legislative session.

Pre-Session Budget Hearings

The Arkansas Legislative Council will begin budget hearings today, October 11, 2022. The hearings will wrap up on Thursday, November 10.

Pre-filing Bills and Resolutions

In accordance with Ark. Code Ann. §10-2-112(a), pre-filing begins on November 15, 2022.

Feasibility Studies

Certain healthcare legislation requires feasibility studies to be initiated by December 9, 2022.

Filing Deadlines

Certain legislation related to retirement, healthcare, and employee health benefit plans must be filed by January 23, 2023.

Constitutional Amendments must be filed by February 8, 2023.

Appropriation bills must be filed by February 27, 2023.
